Northern Runway Project & Increased Arrivals

Research conducted by Oxford Economics demonstrates the project’s potential impact. International visitor numbers through Gatwick are forecast to rise from 5.6 million out of 46.6 million total passengers in 2019.
The expansion will see a footfall of 9 million through Gatwick by 2038 – a 61% increase. This growth directly contributes to the government’s 2030 target.
