A Eurowings flight bound for Fuerteventura, Spain made an emergency diversion to Lisbon after reporting smoke in the cabin on 22 February 2025.
Eurowings flight EW7526, operated by an Airbus A321-200, was en route from Hamburg Airport (HAM) when the emergency was declared.

The aircraft was operating a scheduled service bound for Fuerteventura Airport (FUE). With the aircraft on flight plan track to the north east of Lisbon, flight crew squawked transponder code 7700.
The crew donned oxygen masks and elected to make a precautionary diversion to Lisbon Airport (LIS).
The flight subsequently landed without further incident on runway 20 Lisbon Airport just under 20 minutes after the diversion was initiated.

Flight data shows that Eurowings flight EW7526 on-time departure from Hamburg Airport at 0649 local time on 22 February.
Following departure, the flight had set course normally, climbing to flight level FL350 (35,000 feet) for the southerly service to Fuerteventura.
Flight crew squawked emergency transponder code 7700 as the aircraft initiated a descent from FL 350. A direct diversion was then made to Lisbon.
The aircraft conducting the EW7526 service from Hamburg Airport was an Airbus A321-200, registered D-AIDP. This is a 13 year old narrow body aircraft belonging to the carrier Eurowings. It has been operational service with the airline since March 2023.
Prior to its present service, the aircraft was in operational service with parent airline Lufthansa since its initial delivery from the factory in February 2012.
