Overnight, a United Airlines Boeing 787 from Los Angeles to Tokyo Narita made an emergency landing into Seattle with an urgent problem onboard.
Information is limited surrounding the incident, but below is what we know on this so far.

United Airlines flight UA32, which made the emergency landing in Seattle, is a routine scheduled flight between Los Angeles and Tokyo Narita Airport.
Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident was N29978 or MSN66137.
As per data from Planespotters.net, N29978 is a 5.3 year old Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner that was delivered to the airline back in April 2020.
Of the 787-9 variant, United Airlines has 45 of them in their fleet.
Moreover, of that 45, all of them are in active service, with an average fleet age of 6.7 years.

United Airlines flight UA32, which made the emergency landing in Seattle, departed Los Angeles at 1105 local time on July 12, bound for Tokyo Narita.
Everything was normal in the flight until the aircraft was over the Pacific Ocean.
All of a sudden, the aircraft made a u-turn back to the U.S, choosing Seattle as the diversion field.
After several hours in the air, the aircraft landed safely without further incident following an emergency call.
The Reason for the Emergency Landing?: An Injured Flight Attendant…
As per AirLive, it is understood the reason for the emergency landing in Seattle involving United Airlines flight UA32 Los Angeles-Tokyo was due to a medical emergency.
This medical emergency has been reported to be an injury to a flight attendant.
Furthermore, it is unclear what the nature of the injury is and how exactly it was caused.
What we do know is that the flight remained on the ground for about an hour before departing once again.
Rather than continuing on to Tokyo, the aircraft was sent back to Los Angeles, as per data from Flightradar24.
It is understood that the affected passengers were to be organised on to the next available flight to Tokyo.
