The nature of the emergency prompting the early return is not yet known.

Having expedited a return not long after its departure, Ryanair flight FR613 has now landed at Manchester.
The flight had declared an emergency with transponder code 7700 earlier this morning during the climb after departure for Brussels.

Ryanair flight FR613 had made an on-time departure out of Manchester this morning, at 06:49 local time.
Flight crew then discontinued the climb at FL160 (16,000 feet) before initiating a descent and a return course for Manchester.
The emergency transponder code 7700 was then squawked at 07:00 local time, just 10 minutes after departure. At that time the aircraft was on descent through FL130.
The aircraft conducting this morning’s FR613 rotation to Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRS) was a Boeing 737 MAX 8, registered EI-IFX.
