The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released a tentative exam date for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2025. According to an internal notice, the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) plans to conduct the exam on June 15, 2025. The NMC circular highlights discussions between the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) and NBEMS regarding the NEET-PG 2025 exam and internship completion deadlines. Based on inputs from universities, the internship completion date for NEET-PG 2025 eligibility is set for July 31, 2025.
What is NEET-PG?
NEET-PG is an entrance examination conducted by the NBEMS to determine candidates’ eligibility for postgraduate medical programs such as MD, MS, PG Diploma, DNB, DrNB, and NBEMS diplomas. The exam serves as a single gateway for admissions to government and private medical institutions across India. It replaced the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE). Seat allotments and counseling processes are overseen by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
