Japan Airlines has this week made leadership changes, with the disclosure placing focus on safety of the carrier.
Such assignments will be effective between April and June this year, as the airline aims to continue 2024 on a better footing following the JL516 incident at the start of the new year.

Japan Airlines Makes Leadership Changes…
It is understood that the following changes will be made at Japan Airlines regarding it’s leadership:

| TOTTORI Mitsuko | Representative Director, President | Representative Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer |
In a statement, Japan Airlines said the following on the new assignments of leadership:
“The JAL Group today announced the following change to the position of Representative Director President, as decided at the board of directors meeting held earlier today (January 17)”.
“The JAL Group will strive in unity towards ensuring the highest level of safety in all flight operations, continue to improve the quality of the products and services to our valued customers, and raise its corporate value and contribute to the growth and development of society.”
Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how beneficial these changes will be for Japan Airlines as they continue 2024 in a determined way for success following a tragic start to the year.
