On May 22, 2025, airBaltic, Latvia’s leading airline, introduced a new direct flight route connecting Vilnius, Lithuania, to Prague, Czech Republic.
This network addition offers travellers a convenient service with a flight time of just under two hours. The new service will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays from May 22 to September 27, 2025.
The Prague route continues airBaltic’s commitment to enhancing connectivity from Lithuania. It restores a previously operated connection to the Czech Republic.
Expanding Connectivity from Vilnius
Mantas Vrubliauskas, airBaltic’s Vice President of Network Management, shared the airline’s vision for the new route. “Vilnius has been a key base for airBaltic for over 20 years. We are dedicated to improving travel options from Lithuania and growing our presence in the region.”

The Vilnius-Prague route is airBaltic’s second link to the Czech Republic, alongside its established Riga-Prague service.
During the summer season, from late March to late October, airBaltic will operate 16 direct routes from Vilnius to destinations across Europe and beyond.
Additionally, the airline continues to offer direct flights from Palanga, Lithuania, to Amsterdam and Riga, further expanding travel options for Lithuanian passengers.
A220-300 Two Class Operations
Travelers on the Vilnius-Prague route can choose between Economy and Business Class. Business Class passengers enjoy a premium experience, including priority check-in, and priority boarding.
It offers a reserved seat for extra privacy, a gourmet meal with premium beverages, and faster disembarkation. A dedicated cabin crew ensures personalised service throughout the journey, making it ideal for business travellers or those seeking added comfort.
airBaltic operates one of Europe’s youngest fleets, exclusively using the Airbus A220-300. This modern aircraft enhances the passenger experience with wider seats, larger windows, more overhead luggage space, and improved lavatories.
The airline also leads the way in in-flight connectivity, offering free high-speed SpaceX Starlink internet—the first European airline to provide this service.
airBaltic currently operates 50 Airbus A220-300s and plans to double its fleet, ensuring continued improvements in efficiency and passenger comfort.
