Air Canada is boosting its winter 2025-26 schedule with exciting new routes to Latin America and Mexico.
The airline will resume non-stop flights to Lima, Peru, with twice-weekly services from both Montreal and Toronto.
Additionally, Air Canada is launching three new routes: Montreal to Belize, Toronto to Puerto Escondido, and Vancouver to Tepic, Riviera Nayarit.
These additions build on the airline’s recent expansion in Latin America, offering travelers more options for winter getaways.
New Frontiers Strategy Fuels Growth
Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer at Air Canada, shared insights on the expansion. “Our New Frontiers Strategy focuses on meeting strong leisure demand for vibrant vacation spots in South and Central America, as well as Mexico’s Oaxaca and Pacific coast regions.”
“These new flights make it easier for Canadian and European travelers to connect to these destinations while also supporting cargo opportunities in the region,” he said.
New Destinations
Air Canada’s expanded network brings travelers closer to unique destinations. Lima, Peru, offers rich history and stunning archaeological sites, perfect for cultural explorers.
Belize, home to the world-famous Belize Barrier Reef, is a haven for nature lovers and divers. In Mexico, Puerto Escondido and Riviera Nayarit shine as must-visit spots.
Puerto Escondido, located on Oaxaca’s Pacific coast, is a laid-back paradise known for its golden beaches and world-class surfing.
The new Toronto-Puerto Escondido route makes this bohemian gem more accessible for Canadians seeking a relaxed escape.
The Vancouver-Tepic route opens a new gateway to Riviera Nayarit, just in time for the completion of a highway linking Tepic to Puerto Vallarta in October 2025.
This route offers easy access to charming coastal towns like San Pancho, known for its artistic vibe, Sayulita, a surf hotspot, and upscale Punta Mita.
These destinations, all within a 30-minute to one-hour drive from Tepic’s airport, boast pristine beaches, vibrant culture, and breathtaking landscapes.
